Before returning to Washington this year, Rory served on President Obama's Primary Campaign team in several capacities, beginning as the Regional Director for Southwestern Iowa, then GOTV Director in Northern Nevada, State Director in Nebraska, and Regional Director for Central Ohio. Rory moved back to Washington in March of 2008 to keep our state blue and the Governor's office in Democratic hands. You may have read about Rory's success on President Obama's team in these articles: Rory's Washington state political career began as a legislative intern for the Washington State Labor Council and has also included such roles as: Rory is also a founding member and currently sits on the board of directors for the Washington Bus, (http://www.washingtonbus.org/) a dynamic political organization whose mission is to encourage young people to become politically involved. Rory is a Seattle native, graduating from O'Dea High School on Capitol Hill. After graduation, Rory served in the United States Marine Corps where he was rapidly promoted to Non Commissioned Officer. In September 2000, Rory was honorably discharged and returned home to Seattle where he started his career in politics.
Rory recently joined the Argo team as a Principal in December 2008. Prior to joining Argo Strategies, Rory served on President Barack Obama's team in Washington state as the General Election Director, helping deliver a win here for Senator Obama and working closely with Governor Gregoire's team to ensure her decisive victory as well.
